H.E Ambassador Jama Abdullahi Mohamed has today presented his credentials to the Speaker of the Turkmenistan Parliament Hon. Gülşat Mämmedowa during a ceremony held at the parliamentary buildings in the capital Ashgabat and attended by government officials.

H.E Ambassador Jama led the historic establishment of the Federal Republic of Somalia’s direct diplomatic relations with Turkmenistan to become the first non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Somalia to Turkmenistan.

Before the presentation ceremony, H.E Ambassador Jama submitted a copy of his credentials to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan where he was received by the deputy minister of Foreign Affairs.

H.E Ambassador Jama termed the official commencement of cooperation between the two countries as a long-term goal towards mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation especially on areas of interest at a global level.

In addition, H.E Ambassador Jama thanked Turkmenistan government officials for according him a cordial reception and wishing him success in his tenure while further promising to work towards strengthening Somalia- Turkmen relations.
