H.E Ambassador Jama Abdullahi Mohamed the Ambassador of Somalia to Turkey, who is also the non-resident Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to the Republic of Azerbaijan, holds talks with Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Hon. Jeyhun Bayramo in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku.

Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received Ambassador Jama and his accompanying delegation to the Foreign Ministry headquarters where they deliberated on various issues especially on the relations between the two countries and the latest situation in the country.

Ambassador Jama conveyed greetings and messages of goodwill from our Republic and shared our nation’s relentlessness in solidifying ties with the government and the people of Azerbaijan whom we shared long-standing brotherly, historical, and cultural ties anchored on mutual respect and balanced cooperation.

H.E Ambassador Jama praised the government and the people of Azerbaijan and welcomed the resumption of our bilateral relations as one that would create multifaceted opportunities for both countries and peoples.

On his part, Minister Jayhun expressed gratitude to the Federal Republic of Somalia especially for its solidarity with Azerbaijan and support for justice and international law for the brotherly nation. The minister further welcomed the continued cooperation especially on key strategic areas and expressed belief in the long-term success of the implementation of the bilateral cooperation agenda including mutual exchange visits.
