H.E Ambassador Jama Abdullahi Mohamed has today submitted his credentials to Azerbaijani President H.E Ilham Aliyev as the of the Federal Republic of Somalia to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

H.E Ambassador Jama Abdullahi Mohamed was received at the Presidential palace in the Capital of Azerbaijan, Baku.

While accepting the credentials, H.E President Ilham Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan welcome the Ambassador and assured his government’s continued cooperation with the Federal Republic of Somalia especially on matters related to the economy, infrastructural development, culture and politics.

With your countries, Azerbaijan actively cooperates in numerous international organizations. First of all, in United Nations, at the same time, OSCE, Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Council of Europe, Non-Aligned Movement.Once again, I would like to welcome you to our country, wish you success and hope you will visit Azerbaijan frequently.

On his part, H.E Ambassador Jama Abdullahi Mohamed denoted the bond between our two republics.

Today marks the begining of the formal diplomatic bilateral relationship since the Federal Republic of Somalia and Republic of Azerbaijan hold a historical & brotherly relationship in the multilateral platforms in OIC and UN.
